At a fair, a lot of people walk past a lot of stands. A humanoid machine that waves and speaks to them gives them a friendly reason to come closer, and then a reason to talk to your team. It is the kind of moment guests like to film and show their colleagues later, and some bring someone with them when they come back. Which act the machine performs is agreed with you beforehand: a greeting, a live demo wired into your own system, handing out giveaways, a photo moment, the boxing show, or a quadruped as a second attraction.
What a booking includes
- A setup day before the fair
We come on the build-up day, prepare the machine's spot and run the whole act once through before the hall opens.
- Transport and delivery
The machines arrive at your stand in our cases and leave with us again afterwards. There is nothing for you to collect and nothing to store.
- An operator on site all day
Someone from us stays with the machine for the entire fair day, starts the show blocks, talks to guests and steps in before anything gets stuck.
- The machines
Humanoids (Unitree G1, AgiBot A2 and X2, MagicLab), quadrupeds (AgiBot D1-W, Direct Drive Tech), mobile manipulators (Dobot E6 on an AMMR base, Fairino, UniX AI) plus arms and hands (Rokae X5, Universal Robots, Wuji Hand). Which machine suits your stand is something we work out in the first call.
- The act, rehearsed in advance
Movement is taken from a source video with pose tracking, retargeted onto the machine and rehearsed in simulation until it runs safely. Only then does the act go onto the real machine, and only then does it come to your stand.
- Travel included
We travel from Germany and work across Europe. Travel is part of the price and does not turn up later as an extra line item.
What you provide
- Stand space
A clear, level area on your stand where the machine can work and where guests have room to stand in front of it.
- Power
A reachable socket near the machine's spot. We cover the cable runs neatly ourselves.
- Network
A network connection on the stand, which matters most when the machine is wired into your own system.
- A defined spot
An agreed position for the machine, so that we are not improvising on the build-up day and the run of the day holds together.
From the first call to teardown
- FIRST STEP
First call — We talk about your stand, your fair days and what you would like guests to experience. Then we propose an act and a machine that fits.
- AROUND 4 WEEKS OUT
Booking confirmed, act chosen — The date is fixed and the act is agreed. If the machine is to be wired into your own system, integration starts now: that takes around four weeks.
- AROUND 2 WEEKS OUT
Material and script — For a custom movement a video is enough: a choreography, a gesture from your brand, a handling step on your product. That takes about two weeks. In parallel we write the lines the machine will speak with you.
- IN SIMULATION
Simulation and retargeting — The movement is taken with pose tracking, retargeted onto the machine and rehearsed in simulation until it runs cleanly and safely. Up to this point everything happens in simulation, not yet on a real machine.
- BEFORE WE TRAVEL
Rehearsal on the real machine — The act runs on the machine that will travel to you. For a system integration we also run a remote integration test with your IT.
- SHORTLY BEFORE
Run of show — We exchange stand number, hall plan, time slots and contacts, and agree when show blocks run and when the stand stays quiet.
- BUILD-UP DAY
Build-up day — The machines arrive, the spot is set up, power and network are checked. At the end the act runs once from start to finish.
- FAIR DAYS + TEARDOWN
Fair days and teardown — On each fair day our operator is there from delivery until the stand closes. After the last day we pack the machines down and take everything away with us.
How a fair day runs
- Arriving at the stand
Our operator is at the stand before the hall opens, checks the spot, the cabling and the area around the machine, and powers it up.
- System check
A quiet test run of the act while there are still no guests in the hall. If the machine is connected to your system, we check that connection too.
- Doors open
The machine greets the people walking past, waves and speaks to them. Your team can concentrate fully on the conversations.
- A show block in the morning
How many show blocks run in a day, and exactly when, is something we agree beforehand. Your team knows when each one starts and can plan meetings around them.
- The quieter midday stretch
Time for photographs with guests and for questions. The machine stands still for this, and people can come close at their own pace.
- A show block in the early afternoon
The second run of the act. Our operator announces it so that your guests are in front of it in good time.
- Maintenance window
The machine rests, gets checked and charged. If a quadruped is booked as well, it can take over during this time.
- A show block in the late afternoon
Another run of the act, for when the hall fills up again.
- Winding down
Towards the end the stand gets calmer, which is a good time for the conversations that continue the next day.
- Stand closes
We shut the machine down, secure it overnight and clear the cables away.
Space, power and network
The machine needs a level, clear area and room in front of it for the people watching. A greeting or a photo moment works in a small footprint, while the boxing show and a walking machine need noticeably more. On top of that: a reachable socket and a network connection, especially when the machine is connected to your system. We give you the exact power requirements and minimum areas per act before you commit: on request.
Lead time and price
A simple custom behaviour needs about two weeks of lead time; a full integration into your own system takes around four weeks plus a remote integration test. Pricing starts at EUR 3,000 per event day, including the setup day, transport, the operator and travel. A first engagement is typically around EUR 7,000 for two event days plus a development budget for a custom integration. At a second event that development cost is gone, and it is EUR 3,000 per day.

Questions
What happens if the machine stops working?
Our operator is at the stand for the whole fair day and notices early when something is not running smoothly. We then take the machine out of the rotation for a few minutes, check it and restart the act. Because the act is rehearsed first in simulation and then on the real machine, the run of the day is well protected, and your stand simply carries on in the meantime.
Is it safe with a lot of visitors around?
The machine works within a clearly marked area, and our operator keeps an eye on it and on the space in front of it the whole time. While it is walking or performing the boxing show, guests stay outside that area; for photographs it stands still and people come close only then. If it gets too crowded or too tight, we pause the act rather than pushing it through.
Do we have to do anything ourselves?
No. Nobody on your stand has to operate or supervise the machine, so your team can concentrate on the conversations. All we need is one contact who shows us the spot on the build-up day and tells us when the stand should stay quiet.
How loud is the robot?
The machine itself makes a mechanical sound: the drives and the footsteps are clearly audible. Speech comes through a speaker whose volume we set to suit your stand and the hall. If there is a talk running next door, we turn it down or place the show blocks in the gaps between sessions.
Can the robot speak our language?
We write the lines together with you beforehand so they match your product and your tone. Which languages the speech output covers is something we clarify before you commit: on request.
What if our stand is small?
On a small footprint the greeting, the photo moment and a live demo work well, because the machine largely stays in one place. The boxing show and longer walking routes need more room; if that room is not there, we say so and suggest the act that does fit instead. We give you the minimum area for each act in the first call.
